About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Cheboygan, Michigan. You will work on-site, supporting pharmacy operations while preparing for full licensure. This role involves a mix of clinical tasks, customer service, and pharmacy management support.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication use and preventive healthcare.
- Ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management and financial performance.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and offering assistance with products or services.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and resolve related issues.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with the local medical community.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and coaching.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
