About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Pharmacy Intern Grad in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations, patient care, and staff development while gaining experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, and verification of prescribed medications to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties, shift changes, and insurance claim processing.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, staff training, and hiring.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance with products and services.
- Coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and resolve medication-related questions.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
