About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy in Woodland Park. You will assist the pharmacy manager in maintaining efficient workflows, managing inventory, and overseeing pharmacy financials. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on delivering quality patient care and professional pharmacy services.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
- Administer immunizations and flu shots, or work toward becoming a certified immunizer.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment issues.
- Open and close the pharmacy and assist with shift changes.
- Engage with patients directly to offer assistance and resolve concerns.
- Build relationships with local medical providers and community members.
- Help the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy information technology systems.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or the willingness to obtain one before the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
