About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining practical experience in a retail setting. This role focuses on patient care, medication management, and maintaining efficient pharmacy workflows. You will work under the guidance of the pharmacy manager to help serve our customers and engage with the local medical community.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, such as administering immunizations and providing preventive healthcare support.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications according to regulatory standards.
- Assist with pharmacy operations, including insurance claim processing, inventory management, and financial oversight.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff training, performance coaching, and team development.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and promote a positive experience.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy information technology systems to support both staff and patients.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
