About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Viroqua, Wisconsin. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide clinical services, and assist the pharmacy manager in daily tasks. This role focuses on delivering patient care while gaining experience in pharmacy management and community health.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, side effects, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, verification, and dispensing of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including inventory management and financial optimization.
- Provide clinical services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
