About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while focusing on patient care and clinical services. This role involves balancing technical pharmacy tasks with direct customer interaction to ensure efficient service and accurate medication management.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, covering medication usage, potential drug interactions, and preventive healthcare options.
- Perform clinical tasks including immunizations, compounding, and medication verification.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and workflow efficiency.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers or insurance companies to resolve issues.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve concerns, and offer proactive assistance.
- Support staff development by assisting with hiring, training, and coaching team members.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems and technology, such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to secure pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
