About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work in a full-time, on-site role at our Evergreen Park location. This position focuses on delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team. You will transition from transactional tasks to interpersonal clinical services, helping customers with medication management and preventive healthcare.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and potential side effects.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations and other preventive health screenings.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow by managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and resolving payment rejections.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, performance coaching, and hiring efforts.
- Conduct virtual product reviews and maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Open and close the pharmacy and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Build relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses, to improve patient outcomes.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or the willingness to obtain one before the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
