About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Prescott Valley, Arizona. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining practical experience in a retail environment. The role involves managing daily pharmacy tasks, patient interactions, and clinical services.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Deliver retail and wellness services, including administering immunizations and flu shots.
- Counsel patients on side effects, contraindications, and over-the-counter products.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial analysis, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to resolve prescription issues.
- Handle pharmacy opening and closing procedures and maintain operational compliance with company policies.
- Engage with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
- Use pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, StoreNET, and automation tools to support workflow.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
