About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Massena, New York. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. The role focuses on delivering healthcare consulting, managing pharmacy workflows, and assisting with team development.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting to customers, including medication usage, side effects, and preventive health services.
- Perform clinical tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and dispensing medications.
- Deliver wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and asset protection.
- Support daily pharmacy operations, including opening and closing procedures and staff training.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and medical providers to resolve claims and clarify prescriptions.
- Engage with the local community through outreach and relationship building with healthcare providers.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
