About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Davenport, Florida. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves a mix of direct patient interaction and administrative tasks to ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Perform clinical tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
- Deliver wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial analysis, and staff training.
- Resolve customer issues and maintain positive relationships with patients and the local medical community.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy systems and healthcare developments.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
