About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support pharmacy operations while preparing for full pharmacist responsibilities. You will work on-site to provide clinical services, manage pharmacy workflows, and assist the pharmacy manager in daily operations. This is a full-time role based in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of medications according to regulatory guidelines.
- Support the pharmacy manager with financial optimization, inventory management, and customer experience improvements.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and answer questions about medications and health needs.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Assist with insurance claims, 3rd party audits, and follow-ups with medical providers.
- Use pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Help with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
