About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining clinical and retail experience. This role focuses on patient care, medication management, and team leadership. You will work on-site to ensure our pharmacy provides accurate and helpful service to the community.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, verification, and dispensing of prescribed medications.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance.
- Support the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial analysis, and staff training.
- Conduct clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and ensure accurate processing of insurance claims.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and coordinate pharmacy workflow.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or the willingness to obtain one prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
