About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Las Vegas. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves a mix of administrative tasks, customer engagement, and direct healthcare support.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing procedures.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance, and staff training.
- Perform clinical services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Counsel patients on medicine usage and contraindications.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to resolve medication issues.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, and automation tools.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
