About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work on-site at our Lake Mary location. This is a full-time position focused on providing clinical services and supporting pharmacy operations. You will help bridge the gap between transactional tasks and patient-centered care by engaging directly with the community.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, side effects, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical tasks such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness services.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, and drug therapy reviews while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Support the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance, and asset protection.
- Resolve customer issues and model service best practices to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Open and close the pharmacy and manage daily operations, including insurance claim processing.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before starting.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certified Immunizer status or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
