About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy in Mandeville. This role focuses on delivering patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and assisting the pharmacy manager with business operations. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Perform clinical tasks including compounding, medication review, verification, and dispensing.
- Administer preventive healthcare services such as immunizations.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Resolve customer issues and maintain a positive service environment.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
