About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Barneveld, New York. You will work on-site, providing pharmacy consulting services and supporting the pharmacy manager with daily operations and staff development. This role involves a mix of clinical tasks, customer service, and business management.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare services.
- Perform pharmacy tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all regulations, company policies, and standards.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial optimization, inventory management, and pharmacy workflow.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with products and services.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment issues.
- Partner with the local medical community through outreach and coordination with providers.
- Support staff training and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
