About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Daly City, California. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves a mix of direct patient interaction, medication management, and administrative support within the pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance, answer questions, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial optimization alongside the pharmacy manager.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and information technology.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
