About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while gaining experience in clinical and retail services. You will work under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager to ensure efficient workflows, manage inventory, and provide high-quality care to our patients. This role is a full-time position based in Falcon, Colorado.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, verification, and dispensation of prescribed medications in line with regulatory standards.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Support financial and inventory management goals for the pharmacy.
- Conduct clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify dosages, interactions, and refills.
- Maintain proficiency with pharmacy information technology and systems.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
