About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern Grad position is a part-time, on-site role based in La Mirada, California. This position focuses on providing pharmacy consulting services and supporting daily pharmacy operations. You will work closely with the pharmacy manager to maintain efficient workflows, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, such as administering immunizations and flu shots.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist with opening and closing the pharmacy and managing shift changes.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff training, performance management, and community outreach.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance and resolve concerns.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- A willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- A commitment to becoming a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
