About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Sioux City, Iowa. You will work in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacy manager with daily operations, financial performance, and inventory management. This role focuses on both clinical care and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist with retail, clinical, and wellness services, including administering immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions or address patient needs.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and ensure all operations follow regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and promote a positive service experience.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
