About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy team in Scarborough, Maine. This role focuses on providing clinical services, managing pharmacy workflows, and ensuring patients receive accurate medication and health advice. You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, side effects, and preventive health information.
- Perform clinical tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, and verifying prescribed medications.
- Administer retail and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Help manage pharmacy financials, inventory, and insurance claim processing.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with products and services.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff training, hiring support, and performance coaching.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus to support staff and customers.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
