About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position based on-site in Pflugerville, Texas. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining clinical experience in a retail setting. The role involves a mix of patient care, medication management, and operational oversight.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations and preventive healthcare screenings.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance, and workflow efficiency.
- Engage with patients to address questions and resolve issues.
- Help with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate corporate health and wellness strategies to the pharmacy team.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
