About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Kingsport, Tennessee. You will work on-site, supporting pharmacy operations and patient care. This role is paid and involves a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, optimize financials, and oversee inventory management.
- Engage customers, resolve issues, and promote a positive experience.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, including immunizations.
- Process insurance claims and communicate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
