About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Union City, New Jersey. You will support the pharmacy team by providing clinical services, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of patient care. This role involves a mix of retail, clinical, and administrative tasks to keep the pharmacy running efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations and diabetes awareness.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing procedures.
- Process insurance claims and resolve related customer issues.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Communicate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and patient needs.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
