About the role#
This position supports pharmacy operations and patient care in a retail setting. You will assist the pharmacy manager with daily tasks, inventory, and staff training while ensuring the pharmacy meets all regulatory standards. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Saint Charles, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Manage the compounding, verification, and dispensation of medications.
- Engage with customers by offering assistance, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers regarding prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow, financial data, and inventory management.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Support staff hiring, training, and performance management.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
