About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Saraland, Alabama. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations, patient care, and team leadership. This role focuses on clinical services, efficient pharmacy workflow, and building strong relationships within the local medical community.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare options.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and establishing operational procedures.
- Support the pharmacy team through coaching, training, and performance monitoring.
- Manage administrative tasks such as opening and closing the pharmacy, processing insurance claims, and following up with medical providers.
- Engage with the local medical community to promote pharmacy services and growth.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to secure pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
