About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the pharmacy team in providing clinical and retail services to customers. You will work under the guidance of the pharmacy manager to ensure the efficient operation of the pharmacy and the delivery of quality patient care. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manistee, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Verify, compound, and dispense prescribed medications while following regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow, inventory management, and performance data analysis.
- Process insurance claims and resolve related issues.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance and resolve concerns.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and healthcare providers.
- Support staff training and hiring processes.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy information technology systems.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, to be obtained prior to the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
