About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Brownsville, Texas. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves balancing daily administrative tasks with direct patient interaction and staff leadership.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare options.
- Perform clinical tasks including immunizations, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, including compounding, verifying prescriptions, and processing insurance claims.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and store operations.
- Open and close the pharmacy and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Help train and coach pharmacy staff while fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Build relationships with the local medical community to support patient health outcomes.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
