About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting. This position is full-time and involves a variety of clinical and operational tasks. You will help manage pharmacy workflows, support the pharmacy manager, and engage directly with patients to provide healthcare services.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Administer immunizations, flu shots, and other wellness services.
- Engage with customers to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment issues.
- Build relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems and ensure the pharmacy operates according to regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
