About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in La Grange, Illinois. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations while providing essential healthcare services to our customers. This role focuses on balancing clinical responsibilities with efficient pharmacy workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Maintain pharmacy operations in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
- Process insurance claims accurately and follow up with medical providers as needed.
- Stay current with pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Pursue professional development and maintain necessary certifications.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
