About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Prudenville, Michigan. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting. This role is paid and supports the pharmacy team in daily operations, clinical services, and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive care.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of medications while following regulatory guidelines.
- Support pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management and financial optimization.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance with products and services.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree before the start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
