About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based on-site in Lynn Haven, Florida. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in clinical services and patient care. This role is paid and follows a rolling hiring schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Counsel patients on side effects, contraindications, and medication management.
- Perform pharmacist tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Ensure pharmacy compliance with regulations, company policies, and standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing procedures and shift changes.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions or dosages.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff coaching.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or willingness to obtain one before the start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
