About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support pharmacy operations and provide clinical services to customers. You will work directly with the pharmacy manager to handle daily tasks, manage inventory, and ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently. This role focuses on both clinical care and operational support, helping to bridge the gap between transactional tasks and patient interaction.
What you'll do#
- Consult with patients on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness programs.
- Handle the compounding, dispensing, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties and shift transitions.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Maintain and use pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
