About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while providing essential healthcare services to our customers. You will work closely with the pharmacy manager to maintain high standards of care, manage inventory, and ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently. This role focuses on both clinical tasks and building strong relationships within the local medical community.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Handle compounding, dispensing, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Resolve customer issues and model best practices for service to ensure a positive experience.
- Manage pharmacy operations, including opening and closing duties, shift changes, and insurance claim processing.
- Maintain and update your knowledge of pharmacy systems, technology, and industry regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with local physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
