About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while building your clinical and management skills. You will work directly with patients to provide consultations, answer medication questions, and offer preventive healthcare services. This role involves balancing clinical responsibilities with operational tasks to ensure the pharmacy runs efficiently and provides a positive experience for every customer.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical tasks such as drug therapy reviews, medication management, and compounding.
- Administer immunizations, flu shots, and other wellness services.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment issues.
- Maintain and utilize pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus to ensure accurate prescription dispensing.
- Assist with inventory management and pharmacy financial performance.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and patients to promote healthcare services.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
