About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position based on-site in Midland, Texas. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in clinical and retail services. This role involves a rolling term and requires a commitment to professional development and licensure.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Offer preventive healthcare services, including immunizations and wellness screenings.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial optimization, inventory management, and workflow efficiency.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Coordinate with medical providers to clarify dosages, refills, and potential interactions.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance.
- Support staff training, performance management, and team development.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and automation.
- Stay current with industry developments through professional journals and internal training.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before the start date.
- Ability to secure pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
