About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Orlando, Florida. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in a retail setting. The role involves a mix of clinical tasks, customer service, and operational management.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform pharmacist duties including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
- Verify and dispense prescribed medications while following regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Engage and assist customers with their healthcare needs, including immunizations and wellness services.
- Support pharmacy workflow by managing inventory, optimizing financials, and processing insurance claims.
- Coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical questions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance management.
- Maintain proficiency with pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
