About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Lakeland, Florida. You will support the pharmacy team by providing clinical services, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of patient care. This role involves a blend of direct patient interaction, administrative pharmacy tasks, and operational support to the pharmacy manager.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Ensure accurate compounding, dispensation, and verification of prescribed medications according to regulatory guidelines.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow efficiency, staff training, and hiring processes.
- Monitor pharmacy financials, inventory management, and asset protection.
- Resolve customer issues and maintain strong relationships with the local medical community.
- Process insurance claims and maintain proficiency in pharmacy information technology systems.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
