About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering clinical and retail services to our patients. You will work on-site in Destin, Florida, in a full-time capacity. This role involves balancing patient care with operational tasks to ensure our pharmacy runs efficiently and meets regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Counsel patients on side effects, contraindications, and over-the-counter products.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, pharmacy financials, and workflow procedures.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and answer clinical questions.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations and flu shots.
- Support staff hiring, training, and development to promote teamwork.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Build relationships with the local medical community.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
