About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work in a full-time, on-site role at our Nyack, New York location. This position focuses on providing pharmacy consulting services, managing medication workflows, and delivering clinical wellness services to our customers. You will work closely with the pharmacy manager to support daily operations, inventory management, and staff development.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of medications.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Support pharmacy workflow by managing insurance claims, resolving payment rejections, and coordinating with medical providers.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial oversight, inventory management, staff hiring, and training.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and promote a positive service experience.
- Handle the opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- A willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- To be a certified immunizer, or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
