About the role#
This is a part-time position for a Pharmacy Intern Grad in Southington, Connecticut. You will work on-site and participate in a rolling hiring process. This role involves both clinical and operational duties to support pharmacy services and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and drug interactions.
- Perform preventive healthcare services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow optimization, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Support staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Conduct community outreach to promote pharmacy business.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before starting.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
