About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while building your clinical and retail skills. This role involves direct patient interaction, medication management, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to maintain efficient service standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing procedures and shift changes.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial optimization, and staff training.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide a positive experience.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems and technology.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
