About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Battle Creek, Michigan. You will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in a retail environment. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical service delivery, and pharmacy management support.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical tasks including compounding, verification, and administering immunizations.
- Counsel patients on side effects, contraindications, and medication information privacy.
- Resolve customer issues and assist with insurance claim processing.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager with staff training, performance management, and hiring.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and financial performance.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and patient needs.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
