About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support pharmacy operations while gaining experience in clinical and retail settings. You will work under the pharmacy manager to ensure efficient workflow, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of patient care. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Byrnes Mill, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle compounding, dispensing, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing financials, inventory, and staff training.
- Resolve insurance claims and payment issues.
- Engage with the local medical community to build relationships.
- Model customer service standards and resolve patient issues.
- Maintain and use pharmacy information systems to support operations.
- Help with staff hiring, coaching, and performance management.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
