About the role#
This position is for a Pharmacy Intern Grad. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a full-time role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and drug interactions.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, including immunizations.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with financials and inventory management.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Build relationships with the local medical community.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before starting.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
