About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining hands-on experience in clinical services and patient care. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, Georgia. You will work closely with the pharmacy manager to ensure efficient workflows, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of service.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Ensure the proper compounding, verification, and dispensation of prescribed medications in compliance with regulations.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, such as administering immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and dosages.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems and support the pharmacy team in meeting operational goals.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- A willingness to secure pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
- A focus on pharmaceutical sciences and patient-centered care.
