About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy in Ludington. You will work under the pharmacy manager to provide clinical services, manage inventory, and ensure our customers receive accurate medication and care. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and preventive healthcare.
- Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness activities.
- Support pharmacy workflow by managing compounding, verification, and insurance claims processing.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Handle pharmacy opening and closing duties and shift changes.
- Engage with patients to answer questions about side effects, interactions, and over-the-counter products.
- Coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and patient allergies.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
