About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern Grad role provides pharmacy consulting services to customers while supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy. You will assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing financial performance, inventory management, and the overall customer experience. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Tampa, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Perform clinical, retail, and wellness services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Maintain pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims accurately and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and workflow efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
