About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Slidell, Louisiana. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role is designed for individuals transitioning into professional pharmacy practice.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical and wellness services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, and verification of prescriptions while following regulatory guidelines.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with products.
- Handle pharmacy opening, closing, and shift change duties.
- Support staff hiring and training efforts.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, StoreNET, and registers.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.

- Compensation: $33.50 to $45.30 per hour, depending on experience and location.
