About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Big Rapids, Michigan. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide patient care, and assist the pharmacy manager with daily tasks. This role is part of a rolling recruitment process.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and drug interactions.
- Offer preventive healthcare services, including immunizations.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with daily operations.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer proactive assistance.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims accurately and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Participate in community outreach activities to support the pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
